Unforgotten Embrace

Don't act so cold, I know you see right through me

The mysteries that I dug deep so long ago, revealed

Your eyes, so deep and insightful themselves, hide

I struggle with your gaze at times, like a sword it stabs.

Soften the blow with a smile brought on easily,

Touch my skin with your hands, always so cold

Leave me with burns that reminisce to your affection

In your transparent love, I drown.

I'll keep you safe... everything in the world is alright now

A sky littered with stars, powered by the gods

The scent you give off tickles my senses

Inside I grow attuned to my desires

Let's make small talk about nothing at all...

Words that we haven't forgotten,

Conversations we've never remembered

In a language so forbidden; unrepeated...

A feeling develops; I never want to let you go

I feel so loved in your arms, staring back at you,

Whispering sweet nothings as I resist impulse

I allow common sense to dominate me, as we part ways...

In a night of warmth, I'll embrace you again...
