Surveyspot is a online survey company that offer account holders a chance to take part in surveys. Usually the account holders receive invitations to take part in surveys which range in time and length. Usually speaking surveys pay an account credit or some form of incentive to take the survey now in exchange for a reward in the future.
However my experience of Surveyspot has fallen short of my own expectations as the level of questions asked with these surveys seem to get a lot of information about my opinions and ideas. The company seemingly offer rewards such as weekly draw prizes that range of value, from anything from $50 up to $25,000 for monthly and quarterly draws. However the chances of actually winning an extravagant prize amount is extremely remote.
The website itself www.surveyspot.com has pictures of the owners and alumni of the company with a frequently asked question and answer page. The company is at least honest in what it does in terms of market research.
My opinion of this site is however not good in that if companies want fast and express results of topic based and product research surveys then to create a good incentive scheme based reward system would surely pay better dividends and gain better exposure amongst the online community. There are many other survey companies that pay vouchers and cash as incentives that really add up in the long term. Of course membership is free with surveyspot and after a while I simply cancelled my registration account as I found the whole process time consuming and not rewarding in any shape or form.
Reasons that entice people to join is a fair and safe privacy policy and the company is a registered company with leading American market research bodies. This maybe a fair enough reason to join and become a member of the site, though terms and privacy are the last consideration on most peoples minds. The truth here is that cash and rewards is the leading form of survey sites to be considered as opposed to a website that enters peoples survey participation into some obscure and perhaps misleading raffle draw.
Other good things about the site include the results of the surveys that have been taken a short time after the results have been added up by the companies computer system. This way at least people who take part in questionaire topics at least get a chance to view the results of their answers and compare them to the other online survey participants. So in some respects people can take these surveys with a view to gaining a better understanding of the topics being asked.
