My wild child...........

You are my wild child
Raining down and free

You are my dream kid
Never disappointing me

Lets call it heart son
It splits me whole

A wicked ride dude
A thrill for my soul.

I am walking along side a park
and pulled to a stop to take the time
Two pairs of lonely swings hanging,
Am I too old, is it a crime.

I kick off my sandals
with them flew away my cares

This feels like the time
At Julies house of truth or dares.

The wind with fingers through my hairs
An upside down world, wow
Everything feels so damn great
I can't stop even if I tried to now.

I slip back into my inner me,
An wonder where did you ever go
Oh so much fun I must have had
With time insignificant and so slow.

You are my wild child

On a wild whim, I jumped as far as I could
And hit a new record for my toes
The sand pebbled all around
Molding across all of my toes.

Sandals in my hand, and barefoot
I slow walk through and through
A group of kids at a spray park
Seem to be having just as much fun too.

Red headed and freckled, powder blond too
They yell with laughter, faces stretching wide
I cannot contain my inner kid
So here I go for one hell of a joyful ride.

The water sprinkler daisies spraying off
I run around them like a spinning top
Parents cringing as if I have gone mad
I hold not a care in the world enough to stop.

To where all the children play
Is everywhere I want to be
I pretend like life is my playground
Loss of inhibitions and worry free.

If I could hold this moment
Where young thrills crash down on me forever
Then the sun would play hide and seek
And everything I do would be clever.

I just want to be my inner child
This is what I really want to be

My inner child one with me
Is were I would always want to be..........
