Psychic techniques are those things that deal with the brain and the mind. The term tends to conger up some pictures of tarot cards, mind reading and telling the future. These are all psychic techniques and if they are in your packet of talents use them. They are not usually the more common tools most can use to help improve things on the job and in the work place. Let's concentrate on the beginning psychic techniques that all of us can use and improve with.

Intuition~

Everyone has those "gut feelings" and many times we ignore them. We may simply turn them off or give them no credence, but they are there for a purpose. So tune in to those feeling of intuition in your work place and at home. Intuition is knowing without the power of reasoning. You meet a new co-worker and it's that immediate feeling you get. Trust your intuitions and see if you don't find a better path.

Affirmations~

Much has been written about affirmations and self talk. It is interesting to keep a journal of your daily thoughts and how many times your thoughts may turn negative. Turning around all those negative thoughts are what affirmations are all about. It is foolish to think that just saying something will make it happen, but saying something enough may cause someone to do something about it. It is those actions that we take from self talk and affirmations that become helpful in our lives. For example, saying "I weigh 150 pounds" won't turn a 300 pound man into someone half his size. However, saying every day all day that "I eat healthy" will at least make him more aware of the food choices he is making.

Relaxation and Breathing Techniques~

Wouldn't life be grand if work were a stress free environment. Ladies and Gentleman, that will never be the case. You can make it less stressful and control your reactions to stresses with the psychic techniques of relaxation and breathing exercises.

Sally purchased a relaxation tape and listened to it every evening before bed. We questioned her about what the tape said. She really wasn't sure. She remembered the part about feeling heavy and relaxed. She remembered breathing deeply. She remembers at the end when it tells her to sleep or get up and be refreshed. All of the in-between stuff was a mystery.

One day at work we were looking for something and Sally said "It's at the house where the older people are watching it."

"What?"

Sally stopped and thought for a moment and then went right to the box in the storage closet. At lunch we listened to the tape and sure enough it said that she could leave things that she needed kept safe with the older couple and they would keep them until she needed them again. It was hard to argue that the tape wasn't successful for Sally.

Meditation~

A clear uncluttered mind is an asset. Meditation in any form helps to reach that goal.

If you can tell the future, read tea leaves and all those other great things, use them for good and consider them gifts.
