What are the best ways to keep fit and stay healthy?

restraint when there are so many tasty food-products around, and it becomes even more difficult if you completely deprive yourself. Again, moderation is key. If you want a donut, have one, but keep it at one. It is better than becoming obsessed by certain foods and then bingeing after you have been depriving yourself. If you consistently have a varied diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables, carbohydrates, protein and other essential minerals, vitamins, and fats, it will be easier to maintain a healthy weight.




Exercise also plays an important role in helping a person to maintain their weight, but again it is important to take a sensible approach to it. You may be healthier and fitter if you exercise moderately over half an hour for five days a week, maybe even more, but it is also important to recognise that the body needs a rest day; it needs time to recover. It is therefore important not to overdo things, particularly if you are only just starting an exercise regimen.




Overall, staying healthy and fit requires a balanced approach to all aspects of life; ranging from diet and exercise to attitudes towards drink and drugs. A healthy lifestyle is not necessarily a boring one; something which unhealthy individuals may contend; in fact it provides a way of obtaining more satisfaction from life as you are better able to cope with the blows that life deals you and to feel good about yourself.
