Candy Stripes and Lifesavers
I see candy stripes and lifesavers,
and a beautiful rainbow in the sky.
They remind me of pretty colours
on those days I want to cry.
Beautiful, lush gardens surround me,
breezes send fragrances to my nose.
Just one whiff revitalises me,
from my head, way down to my toes.
I appreciate the sunrise,
when I rise to greet the day;
Then, later on, the warm sunset
as it's soft glow casts my way.
May I not dwell on each problem
that, today, I need to face.
Give me the courage and the fortitude
to handle them with grace.
Please occupy my mind with others,
when I think "too much" of me.
If I may help someone just by being there,
send me to that place where I should be.

Comfortable Silence
As far back as we go,

The closeness that we share,
The distance our rivers flow.

Its soil is rich and fertile
with love's presence

Who make you laugh when you want to cry
Who no matter what

That lends an open ear
Who lets you speak your mind
With nothing to fear...
Who can you
