I was born in a huge house owned by SONY on the outskirts of the Japanese capital Tokyo where the noise of machines are more familiar than anyother sound. Closed to me was a friend of mine with whom I stood closed by since our birth. Profoundly speaking, we stood side by side each day as we watch flashes from machines apparently trying to help birth another one of us. However the most sad part of all was seing many of our fellow partners being boxed in to different boxes and carefully taken away to some where which we never knew. Before I continue on let me identify myself to you. Iam a "32" inch Sony television set manufactured by Sony and my friend is also thesame brand but much bigger than I. So as we wait each day to see what our faith was going to be, our anxiety also grew with it. The only thing that made us proud of our selves was seeing men of every walks of life standing and looking at us in amazement while some could not help it but most touch us and say "this is the brand" I want".As these men in question here leaves, in a day or two, a mass packaging would follow. Some of our friends whom we loved to see were all packed in boxes and taken away. Some times the shelves would be empty and lonelyness becomes the main discription of our house. Each time I look at my friend I would tell him "don't you trhink we are lucky to be here again while everyone is gone"? He would agree without doubt.
One faitful morning as the engines of the machines began their daily routine, one sad incident I kept in mine happend. My old friend which stood by my side for months was the next one to be shipped. One man whom I knew and always makes his first start of the day at our side, began telling his group "take it away it has been here for a long time ". I watched as my only friend being packed into a huge box. I was sad because I could not have the chance to wish him a final farewell but then began to think of my own future. I was very sad and lonely the whole day but the next day a smaller set much smaller than I was placed near me. As the crew left,I narrated my story to him and how a long time friend of mine was shipped just a day ago. From there on I told him I could be the next victim knowing that he is smaller than me. Just as I expected, the next day,I saw thesame men from the previous day speaking English , by their accent I knew they were Americans. One of them spoke to the man I would call our master and within few minutes,a huge box was placed near me. Then within
