Alternative approaches to healing cancer

Cancer, this morose entity that has devoured millions of our unsuspecting loved ones, continues to feed on life with an insatiable hunger leaving behind a trail of devastation.

These are the words that take form in my mind when I think about this disease. How exactly do you attach words to such a terrible occurrence? How do you even begin to explain what it' is?

Could it be possible that cancer is actually a physical manifestation of every negative emotion that we harbor with in ourselves? Many people believe that there is a significant connection between disease and emotion. Is this a notion of insanity or is there some truth to this belief? Researchers have been able to begin sorting out how memories reach the parts of the brain that control the hormonal stress response, and affect the immune system giving way to illnesses as disparate as cancer.

There are three known categories of cancer contributors; these include external factors, internal factors, and lifestyle.

External factors are the toxic chemicals that are used to make house hold cleaning products, personal care products, pesticides & herbicides that are used in agriculture, and the mass pollution that has found its way into our drinking supply & the air we breathe.

Internal factors are basically genetics, heredity, or serious infection.

Lifestyle is what I believe to be the most prominent of the cancer contributors; these are factors that we can outwardly control. A poor diet, drug use, cigarettes, alcohol and a sedentary lifestyle; these are all lifestyle choices that give way to malignancies.

It is believed that cancer is a healing process, "Cancer is a healing process that hasn't stopped. Cancer cells are pre-embryonic stem cells that have been stimulated by estrogen to form trophoblast healing cells. These trophoblasts may go on to form cancer cells if the multiplication (healing) process is not terminated."

So if an individual is continuously treating the body in a negative manner, burdening it with toxins, the body's defense is to continuously produce these healing cells that will continue to multiply as long as there is a threat presented on the body. "Rouge healing processes are started when the body is damaged in various ways. For instance, smoking damages the back of the throat and the lungs, resulting in a site-specific healing process that may not stop. In the event a healing process is not terminated, healing trophoblast proliferates to form a tumor."
