Have you ever wanted to be in a band, and get the feeling what it is like to go on tour and have millions of fans screaming at how awesome you are? We now you can do with from the comfort of your living room. Rock Band for the XBOX 360 and the Playstation 3 does a fantastic job of incorporating video games and music. Not only is it good for video game developers, but artists and bands get to have their share of the game.
The entire Rock Band package comes with a drum kit, a guitar and a USB microphone. If you want to be able to play with one person on guitar and one person on bass, then you will need to purchase another guitar to use. Rock Band 2 comes with 84 songs to play, and for about $5.00 more, you can export all of the songs from the Rock Band 1 disc to your hard drive to play through Rock Band 2. Also there is a music store where you can purchase more songs to play for about $2.00 each. Right now there are a total of over 500 songs that can be played.
I already have a Nintendo Wii. When I found out that Rock Band 2 was going to be available I was pretty excited, but after I looked into it some more, then I realized that the Nintendo Wii was not going to be adequate enough. I remember when the first Rock Band came out for the Wii, many people were disappointed with it. With Rock Band 2 on the Wii, they integrated the Music Store into it, but for all of the music that you can download, it did not seem that the hard drive on the Wii would be able to hold all of the songs. Also if you wanted to play the Rock Band 1 songs on the Wii, you would have to change the discs as opposed to being able to export them to your hard drive like you can on the XBOX 360. Also the graphics on the XBOX 360 compared to the Wii are a lot better as far as detail is concerned.
The songs that are included on the discs and the ones that are available in the Music Store to download are really great rock songs. Some of the artists that you can download and play include the Foo Fighters, the Offspring, Lenny Kravitz, and more. Not only do they have these great new artists, but they are included some classics like the Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, Kansas, and more. They are creating quite a collection of songs to be able to play.
Now some of the downfalls of the game. First of all, if you guy the new wireless drum controller, make sure to be ready to by many, many AA batteries. The controller takes 3 AA batteries to power up the set, and they usually only last me a week or two depending on
