Foolish pride gets in the way
takes us further from each other
when we should care about the things we say
to our best friend who is our lover
Will we ever get onto the same page
and let love lead the way
stop to remember the love we have inside
and the promises we've both made
So much regret
we're torn apart
we feel so alone
but let us never forget
that the truth still remains
your heart is my home
Please take my hand
and show me the way
without you my life's built on sinking sand
can we lose our regrets, and start over today
So many feelings can cloud the way we see
we get caught up in whose wrong and right
I can't take it here without you near to me
lets make peace and stop the fight
Close the doors to the past
let all of our pain heal
for if our lives together are going to last
we've got to let regret go,
and let change, change us for real!
