Romance for some women means being on the receiving end of extreme compliments from a male. Quualifiers can include such things as a candlelit dinner, a walk on a tropical beach, flowers, jewlery, or flattery. The list goes on. For me, romance comes in the form of a vacuuming male, a dish washing companion, or hearing the words,"You are the most fabulous person in the world." These are romances. These are "turn ons". Why don't more men take my advise? Because they are stubborn or stupid or incapable and that's what makes all these "romantic" moments so hard to come by. If men learned to listen more and do what we ask, they would often be on the receiving end of their own form of romance, another word for SEX. Personally,I for one, do not appreciate being pawed at or ogled over. It's not going to put me in any form of a romantic mood by you jamming your hand up my shirt or down my pants.
People want to feel special, loved and appreciated. Women want to feel secure with a man, a man that is trustworthy, a man that wants to ease our burdens. This means cooking a dinner now and then or helping with the kids, getting the vacuum cleaner out and actually knowing how to use the thing. A man doing dishes or cooking in my kitchen will get them what they want much more effectively. THe phrase, "Give me a break"... means just that.
When we begin a relationship, both men and women are on their best behavior. As time goes by, this changes. We feel comfortable enough to let our guard down and to expose who we really are. The hardest part of a relationship is not to let this happen. Keep faking it till the end. Obviously, I am joking. However, let both sides remember what it was like when we first met.
Maybe when we are young and stupid, flattery gets a man what he wants. But, romance later in life means much more than whispers of sweet nothings. Why? Women have figured out, hopefully, that they are just that-"nothings". Meaningless gibberish from a man who wants nothing more than sex.
So to all the men who want to see me all fired up, here's my advise; clean the house, cook me a nice dinner, do the dishes and get the kids reading for bed. Now, I've got the energy to give you want you want. Quit grabbing my ass. Grab a dust cloth instead. One of these days, when you walk through the front door after a hard day of work, I may just be greeting you in the attire of your dreams-nothing. I think women are getting smarter and men seem to be getting dumber. Advise to the women who "do it all"? Stop doing it all until your man starts doing something other than leaving the house at 7am for "work".
