Poetry: Ungrateful

by Joeyg

Created on: January 19, 2009

You sit and watch......

I chase you,
on a wall shadow, or
A moon ringlet
around your finger,
And you sit and watch.

On hands and knees
of stripped bone,
Hanging on broken sleeves,
you sit and watch.

Through summers
on hot coal heads, and
Roasted fingernails
on chalkboards,
You sit and watch.

Born from, or
off your womb,
Bum sliding and morbidly
welcomed back in,
You sit and watch.

Hands on thought, cold
and
Playfully warm to
the ends,
You sit and watch.

Torn pages, chapter
love,
Yes dear,
and thank you in stone,
Am I even here,
as you sit and watch?
