Spirituality has always played a major part in my life since 1994 when I first read the amazing book by James Redfield, "The Celestine Prophecy." Since that moment, I have been involved in reading and researching vast quantities of spiritual literature from all over the world. The book "woke" me up to exploring the invisible side of life that since then, I have felt and seen proof that it exists! Having been brought up in a strict Catholic upbringing, I had never been encouraged to have a different outlook on life besides that which the Church and Science had taught me. Eventually, I followed a course in Reiki energy healing, becoming a certified Master Reiki healer in June 2000.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /

However, the last few years had become very restless for me in the work I was presently doing (which had no relation whatsoever to the spiritual side of life!). I seemed to be searching for something, which I could not put my finger on. I felt empty, unfulfilled, and even with the good money I was making. Finally, after much soul searching, I realized that I wanted to help people, but on a more profound level which was, healing. When I mentioned this to my friends and family, the concept was looked down upon since no one in my circle of friends really understood the concept of spirituality besides the religious part of it. Well, being stubborn and never much one to follow the herd of sheep, I dug in my heels and kept on searching for what was eluding me.

Eventually I came to realize that I was due for a career change and as time went by, I became more and unhappy with my current employment. Slowly, over time, several things started happening. I became uncomfortable around certain people and when I got home, I would feel drained on a cellular level. I found out with the help of another energy healer that I, being gifted with healing powers; I had to learn to protect myself from the onslaught of people that I interacted with upon a daily basis. My energy level was different, actually attracting lower or negative energies to me like a moth to a flame!

Once I cleared this up by learning how to protect and ground myself with the help of a Reiki Master who worked on me for a few sessions. I realized that you did not have to have psychic ability to work as a spiritual healer. I have no physic talents what so ever. On the other hand, my intuition has grown to such an extent that I can literally feel the emotions of
