Poetry: Lovers

by Jude Frost

Created on: January 19, 2009

You are the name on the tip of my tongue, when my teeth start to grind and my walls start to whisper. Love, danced the sun, as it twisted it's way through the curtains to our sheets where we hid from morning and swayed until night. Beautiful, I sang across your skin, kissing every inch of perfection. I was touching the outline of your existence. I would describe you as the way water weaves over my body and slips from my fingertips. I hope I am the name on your tongue when your whole world is invaded and penetrated. Every word was too conservative to describe my love for you, so we threw out every acceptable word. We are the curious, the creative, and willing lovers. Together we are described as dedicated and balanced. We share our secret songs as we dance with the stars as our witness. They are our choir as we spin like leaves brushing against the Earth for only a few moments. My love for you is guiltless and greedy, I would love to steal you away for myself. You bring out the lover, you bring out the artist in me.
