I'm spinning in my sheets,

trying to think, mayble sleep.

I am conquering the days that drag by,

until I get to claim again the moments with you.

I string tears like diamonds upon pages of which I have spilled my heart out,

for I am a jealous lover.

I hold contempt for your blankets that wrap you tight.

I find myself thousands of miles away from you,

I am breathless and dying as the wind who whispers lonliness.

I am a great distance from any sort of meaning behind myself,

far from anything familiar, and from shreds of my sanity.

I face a busy sea called Las Vegas Boulevard,

It was the walk on a plank before disaster.

The countdown is going and I hope next year my lips will be with yours.

The clock has run out and everybody screams with glee,

As explosions go off with a sort of normalcy.

The fire brushes paints across the sky in every color,

but I am untouched; grey, and sick with anguish.

Happy New Year my love, next year will be ours.

I'll keep writing to you with our names beside one-another.

No spaces, no ands, nothing in between,

because you should never be far from me.
