The field of Criminal Justice offers a rewarding career to both men and women. Somewhere within the broad spectrum of opportunities available they can experience personal fulfillment, achieve a sense of satisfaction, and enjoy job security. www.doityourself.com/stry/ara_wantjobsecurityp .

The events of 9/11 have forever changed the face of law enforcement and Criminal Justice. Homeland security and the booming growth of the prison population present needs that must be met. With expectations of future growth in the demand for Criminal Justice personnel, the time has never been better for intelligent, well educated individuals who are public service oriented to set their sights on becoming a part of that thin line that stands between our citizens and chaos.

The list of specialties to chose from is impressive. You might elect to become a Police Officer patrolling our streets, or a Border Patrol agent patrolling our borders. Perhaps you would prefer becoming a Correction Officer responsible for the care, control, and safety of prisoners, or a Court Judge responsible for hearing criminal cases. Forensics could be the perfect specialty for you if you are interested in science. You may find something within the FBI or CIA more to your liking. These are just a few of the job titles available for you to chose from. For more click on www.apsu.edu/oconnort/employ.htm .

Salary is always important. What can you expect to earn? This will vary from field to field. In some cases it will vary from state to state, and from city to city.

On the low end of the pay scale you will find Probation, Correction, and Police officers along with Border Patrol. The high end will include Government Security Agents and Paralegals.
