On November 20th 2008, a precious boy was brought in to this world, his name is Joshua. This angel is my first child, and he was born 10weeks early. I found out I was pregnant with him when I was 6weeks pregnant. From the first ulrasound on I tried me best to take my vitamins, and to eat as healthy as I could. At work I had to cut down on heavy lifting and I could no longer be around my boyfriend much. My child was in high risk of SIDS, becuase hs father is a heavy smoker, and still has continued this disgusting habit. I joing WIC, a faimly nutrional help service, to get the basic nutrion I need during my pregnacy. Having fun, and all the yummy caffene and choclate had to be cut back on, and fruits and vegetables soon stocked my fridge.
Soon after I found out I was going to be a mother, I was in Books A Million, and had sharp pains in my side. In the bathroom I noticed I was leaking some blood, I freaked out and called my doctor, whom told me its normal. I conitued being pregnant and was just starting to feel the effects. I never vomited during the first months, that scientists say your supposed to. On my 6month, I got sick in every way. I threw up all I ate, could'nt keep any food or liquid down, and became pounded with headaches and back pain. One night my back pain was so sharp, sleep was not an option. A whole week I went without sleeping and took all the medicine that you could take during pregnancy. I spoke with the doctor the morning after the pains hit me hard, and was ordered to go directly to the hospital. I explained to the doctor then that for a whole week these pounding pains were in my lower back and that it felt like my baby was pushing out of my stomache. The pains only occured at night and went on for over four hours, and that it was interfering with my work. They put me on the labor monitor for an hour, but since I was no longer having the pains they sent me home and would not check to see if I had dilated during that week. I only went in to hopefully be given some stront medication to help me sleep, the pains were bad but I could deal with that, until two week later.
I was going into my seventh month, and these dots started to appear in my eyes. Thinking it was my contacts I went and got glasses, but no matter what I did, the dots scatered in my eyesight. I never thought to find out why this was happening, I just thought it was a symptom of being pregnant. Then all my worst nightmares came true, the pains returned, but not only at night. One
