"Artis the process or product of deliberately and creativelyarranging elements in a way that appeals to the senses oremotions."
Art can be a number of things, mainly, it is what you think of creativity and your look and opinions on ways of life. Art is your specific views on how you express things by visual content. Art has many different reasons for being expressed the way they are, it all just depends on your perspective of life. Almost anything can be classified under art, it just has to have a purpose and reason it is being expressed.
Some people like: ceramics, pastel, caligraphy, collages, papier-mch, paint (of all different types), and many different forms of elements...
Music and literature are also classified under 'art'. Basically anything that is showing feelings or emotion on something you can sense such as a song, a painted portrait, or a book. There is many more examples, I could go on and on, but those were just some of the main catagories that I listed. Art is created into a masterpiece when personality and patience is added, that is what makes up art. Without personality, no one has a different opinion, they all like the same things. But personality leads to opinions, therefor causing interest.
This definition of art is sometimes defined by a certain skill level, but it is very opinionated. Some people like a certain piece of art, some people like another. Everyone has different views, and not everybody will like the piece of work because there is no changing peoples opinions on art usually, and if it is, it would be difficult. Art comes from the heart, so you cannot really change peoples minds about it since it is there perspective, however you can show them a new perspective to the topic, and open many new doors to the critic or artist.
Art is a very hard subject to define, you have so many different catagories it could fit under, and there is millions of types of art, and a ton of cultural art, and everything you could imagine. So art could really be anything, to an extent. Some people are very close-minded and only like certain types of art (for example:modern, traditional, portrait). Some people are extremely open-minded about art and know and love every detail of it all.
So how do you define art? My answer to you, is that it simply depends on the person. It depends on their personality, region, age, sex, lifestyle, social status, and several other variables. No one seems to have the exact definition to art. So basically, art is a never ending gap of personality. You can choose to fill it full, or leave it blank.
