Product reviews: Meal substitutes, shakes

I want to start off by saying that I used to be skeptical of meal substitutions and shakes. That was until I tried using Slim Fast. In my personal opinion shakes and meal substitutions work if used as directed. In this article I will share some reasons why I believe this to be true.

The first reason I believe this to be true, at least with Slim Fast, is that I am hypoglycemic. This means I have very low blood sugar. I have been known to pass out with out warning. It is very important for me to eat properly. My doctor told me to eat six small meals a day. I am not a big eater and never have been so this sometimes causes problems. I decided to use Slim Fast as a meal substitute. I was worried at first that it would not have enough calories and nutrients for me to use. It turned out that I was wrong. I loved it. It kept me full and did not make me feel hungry. The shakes taste great. They did not affect my blood sugar at all; in fact they made me feel pretty good. Anything that makes my blood sugar balance out, I go for. Slim Fast did that for me.

The second reason I like them is because they really do have a great taste. The shakes and the bars both. They are very convenient to have around. I keep a bar in my purse at all times because when my sugar does bottom out I need something to eat right then. I don't have time to go to the nearest fast food place and eat. The bars will hold me over until I can get food into my system. They also come in a variety of yummy flavors. It did not feel like a diet at all to me even though I was seeing results. I believe that shakes and nutrition bars are both healthy.

You can easily take shakes and bars to lunch with you when you go to work. I have taken them so many times its not even funny. I just grab them on the way out of the door. Anyone can do this. They give me more energy at work whenever I take them with me. They always feel me up and they never make me sick, which is truly a miracle for me in it self.

In closing, I believe that shakes and meal substitutions are healthy if used properly. I say this because of my own personal experience. They have plenty of nutrients in them. When I use them they do fill me up and they come in a variety of delicious flavors. They are convenient and you can take them where ever you go. I did see a result as far as weight loss goes. I think I lost about fifteen pounds after I had my daughter. I was pretty satisfied with that amount because I really did not need to lose much weight. I just think these products are great.
