Tick!
A second gone.
Multiplied by the
Hours.
Days.
Weeks.
Months.
Years.
Of a life.
In earlier years,
Time was a distant
Uncle.
You met him at
Birthdays and Christmas,
You knew he would come,
You were excited,
But the time in
Between was
Long.
Growing.
Faster, older now.
Time is a pest.
He sweeps by quickly.
Days are over as quickly
As they have
Begun.
Birthdays, Christmas
Come and go with
Breaths.
Before you can ask
Time to slow
Down,
You've lost him.
He's there,
You can feel it.
In your bones.
In the aches and
Pains old age
Brings with it.
You know Time
Is around,
He's a
Friend now.
A constant companion.
Time goes neither
Quickly nor
Slowly,
It just happens.
And in the
Blink of an
Eye,
Time is there
Again, opening his
Hands, showing you
He has nothing
Left.
Tick!
No more seconds.
Hours.
Days.
Weeks.
Months.
Years.
No more Time.
An old friend
Lost to
You.

Poetry: Time passes
by Cherisa Hays
Time passes to all differently but in reality moves the same, ever flowing, ever steady stream.
Some days pass like years,

Fleeting hands of time
Slow down, oh fleeting hands of time.
I haven't yet enjoyed this day.
Why must you rush this life
by Ann Major
Time passes like sand through an hourglass
With each ticking of the clock in my head
A second at a time, tick...tick...tick. ..
Time elapses
Leaving collapses
Invisibly it fleets
Recording the deeds
A nice moment, stop
Will there be luck
Slumber Sonnet
I do resent this body's need for rest
and so defy its limits to no gain.
My time too finite - fate waits!
