It is a new year and you are feeling overwhelmed and frustrated. It's still the same old you with the same old job and the same old life. You can't possibly complete every goal that you have set out to obtain. Life begins with a plan. It is an ongoing plan. It is a constant effort . It is comparable to getting a tune up for your car. Your life deserves the same amount of attention. Create your life. Don't let it be created for you.
Where do you find the motivation to follow your life plan? Begin by sitting down and writing down what you have accomplished over the past year. This excercise will provide immediate relief to the disappointment that you are feeling. You will feel empowered when you see in writing how much more enriched your life has become in the last year.
Now look back to the beginning of this year. What have you accomplished so far? What do you know now that you didn't know on December 31st? You should be able to list at least as many things as days that have passed. I need to do this. My mind is a giant wheel that never stops rotating. My creativity cannot be left to idle. I become bored easily which quickly leads to depression and lack of motivation. Understanding that life is also a giant wheel that never stops changing leads to hopefulness. Are you going to just sit there and enjoy the ride or are you going to create something wonderful?
Keep a journal if you wish. How motivating to be able to look back every day and see how far you have come.
Every morning when you awake ask yourself how you have changed since the day before. Announcing out loud what you have accomplished will immediately motivate you to approach the day with a new motivation. It will be easy to forget to do this. You will get caught up in the day to day commotion. It will take a while to make this a habit. But that is okay. When you start to feel like their is no good reason to get up in the morning you will revert back to asking yourself out loud what you have accomplished and you will find a renewed interest in your life. Stay on top of what you want and never let your goals fall to the wayside because it is your life. Your one and only chance at life. Each day you are scratching away at the surface of creating your perfect life. It takes a lot of work and patience, but you are going to get there. And you are going to enjoy the ride on the way.
