The Beauty Of Summer
I do so love the songbirds,
The scarlet maple trees.
Summer's painted daisies
And the busy honey bees.
Yes, I admire the hollyhocks
The faded stockade fence.
The arbor and the dahlias
The ivy trailing dense.
The climbing rose enchants me
Glistening with dew.
Fluffy cotton candy clouds
Enhance a sky of blue.
It seems my good fortune
The beauties summer brings.
And, I enjoy them all
From my garden swing.
