Why Career College was the best choice for me. Hmm thats easy. Career colleges put right into a program. You can take on line classes, night classes and you also can take morning class. Take nursing, thats a career that has been able to go both ways. What I mean by that, you can go to college or you can go to career college. There are many places that have that. Jacksonville Florida is a large place. They have Concorde,Everest to name a few. Those are places that you get an education and take care of it in a short time than a regular college. It usually takes about 18 months instead of four to five years. It gives your freedom.
In a college setting you have to take your math, science and English classes. You have to take care of that before you can go on to the career you have chosen. That can take time. Alot of time. Some folks don't have the time. They don't have the easy of working and attending class.Thats what is needed, to work and go to school. Its hard thing to do now a days. Single parents are often in a career college to advance to the next level. Plus not to mention how much cheaper I have found them to be. The programs you can chose for are nursing, MA, billing and coding. Thats just a few to chose from. For that alone is the reason I have gone through Career college to obtain a diploma in coding and billing. I will always have that to fall back on and it will help me in my choice to become a nurse.
The other part I do like about Career colleges, are the smaller classes. I need the one on one attention. In a larger college setting teachers often can not give you or anyone the attention they might need. You become a number or a seat depending on the college you attend. I cant have that. I need to be shown thing and i have to put my hands on it to understand alot. I have found that to true for alot of people.
Now the reasons a college would be better is the have degrees and where a career college has diploma's. Thats the only difference that I can see. Must place are ok with that as long as its an accredited school. I think a career college would be better for must people for many reasons. Give it a try, you might like it. Its never to late to learn.
