I was a good girl
Never strayed off track
Stood there and watched silently
Watched my skin turn black
but they all loved me
the little princess
everyones pearl
always hiding the blackness
a secret I could never tell.
Kneel in submission
tie me in chains and dangle the key
thats how you taught me
kneel in submission
don't question authority
kneel in submission
you're nothing and never will be.
And i believed you
a child so small
what else could I do
strive for affection
tried as hard as I could
never ever reached perfection
said you're no good
no good...
kneel in submission
tie me in chains and dangle the key
thats how you taught me
kneel in submission
don't question authority
kneel in submssion
you're nothing and never will be
and part of me wants to be that girl again
the other will never go back
afraid to raise my head
I cried in vain
and watched my skin turn black
kneel in submission
tie me in chains and dangle the key
thats how you taught me
kneel in submission
don't question authority
kneel in submission
you're nothing and never will be.
I'd rather die standing
than live on my knees
but it's so hard to stand
on legs that are broken
and im so tired of
sleeping with my eyes open
so I stand up and knock you down
I'll watch you fall and hit the ground
we've switched places now
turned it around
set me free
wnt kneel in submission
finally you can't touch me
kneel in submission
tie me in chains and dangle the key
thats how you taught me
kneel in submission
don't question authority
kneel in submission
you're nothing and never will be
there was a time
all i knew was fear
there was a time
you held the key
now I've shed my chains
see you as you saw me
the truth is clear
you're nothing and never will be
kneel in submission
tie me in chains and I'll break free
kneel in submission
thats how you taught me
you're no authority
kneel in submission
I'm something you can never be

You spilled your pain across the pages of my soul
as if it was not indelible ink

A Divergence from the Path
I don’t know where you’re going, but I know where you’ve been.
From all that
They ran down my cheeks like coals of fire.
The thing that made me cry was not suppose to be my tears, but it's the

Blistering ANGRY tears,
Scalding icy skin.
Trembling scared
Of the mess I'm in.
Clutched in my hand
Your spidery note
