Whether wives should still submit to their husbands is a very tricky question to answer. Most men seem to believe in the Orwellian maxim "some animals are more equal than the others".  God has created man and woman with some obvious and natural inequalities, which places man in a higher pedestal from the points of physical strength, sexual freedom and a better developed logical intellect.

All the same, God has given certain unique characteristics to woman, like physical beauty, love, affection, attachment, tenderness, sweetness and motherhood with which she can tame the brute in the man and even succeed in subjugating him under her spell!

With the above realistic background, we shall see when and where it is better that wives still submit to their husbands.

1) When The Husband Is More Level Headed:

Most of the women are emotional creatures. They live in the plane of heart than in the plane of head when it comes to taking decisions. Some women are more prone to wide emotional swings; they can easily glide from love to hate or hate to love in one swing, with no balanced stop in between. Some women are too compassionate and trusting and this quality may end them into trouble. Between a husband and a wife, if the husband is more level headed and better in taking decisions without too much of emotional influence, it will be better if the wife generally submits to such a husband.

2) When the Husband Has Better Value System:

When the wife loves luxuries, is an irresistible shopper of wanted and unwanted things, has no qualms about the right and wrong ways of earning money and spending money, has no sense of budgeted spending and has no concern for living within means, it would be prove to be disastrous for the family. When a husband has better principles and values on these matters, he should be the boss of the family and the wife should submit to him.

A peaceful life is built on good principles and ethics. Between a husband and wife, if the husband believes that earnings should never come by receiving bribes or by engaging in any unlawful activity but the wife has no qualms about such things, then it is only right that the husband puts his foot down and enforces his codes of ethics.

3) When the Wife Has Too Many Double Standards:

A wife is expected to act as a bond between the various relations to the family. A wife is essentially a home maker first, because without a woman, a home will crumble. If the wife is bent upon intentionally creating rupture between
