The Rosicrucian Order is a secretive society of individuals who think of themselves as "walking questionmarks". Their existence dates back thousands of years, and they are thought to possess some of the papers of "The Great White Settlement". As such, they are not a religion, theirs is a philosophical study which may overlap religions to some degree.
In the United States they are based out of San Jose, Cal., and I am sure have some sort of website, although I've never visited it. If you have knowledge of the Masonic Lodge, many things are similar in that they are first cousins, and share the same membership I have been told.
I was a paid member of the Rosicrucian Order for close to ten years, and can tell you that they do not appreciate anyone speaking about them very much. As to my personal experience, I can tell you that they view all things from a perspective that nothing should be believed unless one can prove it to oneself. Hence, things requiring faith in essence to be believable, probably are not valid. This would not be popular in religious circles.
Some of their teachings are interesting, such as developing one's hidden mental abilities. Over my ten year membership, I learned many mental exercises that I consider valuable. I do have one particular negative comment, it takes years of membership fees and calendar time to disseminate material that I would have been able to work through in one tenth of the time. They have no "fast-track" for dedicated students, and I suspect that the reason lies in the annual fees that are charged. The frustration to me personally was not about money, but desire to learn at a faster pace.
I can recommend the organization to you, but can also temper this with a forewarning, no one has all of the answers. Also, there is a point at which one may ask, as I did, where do we go from here? Best of luck to those of you seeking union with the Universal Mind.
