Throughout the course of civilization, there have always been certain questions we ponder.
Some dwell on these. Why are we here? Is there some purpose driving all things?
What happens at the end of this life, do we go on in some way? There has been and may still be an organization devoted to the quest for the answers.
The "Brother hood of the rosy cross" as it is sometimes called, was a secret mystical society of scholars and reformers established in germany in the early part of the seventeenth century. The first Rosicrucian text, the "Fama Fraternitas", published in 1614, tells the story of their establishment. The name comes from the original founder, Christian Rosenkruez(meaning "Rosy Cross" in german), who died 120 years prior to the publishing of that first text.
They followed these six rules:
1. they must heal and distribute free medicines to all the people in need.
2. they must meet once every year.
3. they must blend into what ever culture they are living in.
4. they must choose successors, to replace them at death.
5. they must each carry a hidden seal with the letters R.C.
6. they will keep their society secret for at least one hundred years.
Their mission was to promulgate their knowledge and make right all the mistakes of science and society. To develope a magical language to serve as a secret code for science. They held the belief that everything is connected, related and intertwined. Mathematics, Philosophy, science, alchemy, astronomy, astrology.
Basicly, nothing in the universe is truly coincidental. they sought the ultimate truth, the meaning of life, the universe, and everything.
The betterment of mankind though knowledge and understanding.
