The cross blade attachment can be used to help you chop food along with crushing ice while the flat blade attachment is used for whipping or to cut harder ingredients.

Pros

- The Magic Bullet is surprisingly easy to clean. The blade attachments are all in one unit and can cleaned without any kind of hassle.

- The device is easy to operate and safe to operate for the young and old, while being light weight.
The most strenuous task with the Magic Bullet is screwing on the blade attachment to the mixing cup.

- You have the ability to make a single serving of a blended drink. Instead of breaking out the blender, you are able to make smoothies, milk shakes, or even frozen drinks in the Magic Bullet in less time and with less mess.

- There are few limits to what you can do with the Magic Bullet. It is only limited by your imagination. It is important to remember to limit your ingredients to 2 to 3
items and place the heaviest item on the bottom of the mixing cup.

Cons

- Despite what the informercials claims, the Magic Bullet is not able to chop and dice anything in it without the food being cut up previously. There are times all of the ingredients will not be diced up completely so be prepared for some large pieces.

- The mixing cups have a tendency to lockup on you if you are not paying attention when you are operating the Magic Bullet. If this happens, the blades will continue to churn the ingredients while you unlock it.
If the manufacturer installed an on/off switch on the device, it would eliminate this problem.

- With the success of the Magic Bullet, Homeland Housewares have become the victim of fraud by other companies who created similar appliances. It is important to remember, if you are going to purchase the Magic Bullet, either make the purchase through the company's website or through a reputable local retailer.
