Product reviews: The Magic Bullet

The Magic Bullet has become probably one of the most used small appliances in our kitchen, and if we had known just how invaluable it would become, we probably would have purchased one a lot sooner than we did. In no time at all, the Magic Bullet has replaced our coffee grinder and food processor, and we use it more than we do our blender. In fact, the only time we use the blender is when we need to blend a large amount of something that would take us two or three time with the Magic Bullet. My wife and I bought the Magic Bullet about a year and a half ago, and now I wonder what we ever did without it. I

I was at first attracted to the Magic Bullet because of its size, and also it versatility. It is small enough that the power base and all the accessories can be stored in a drawer. It is so versatile that you can do almost anything with it. You can chop, blend, puree, shave ice and grind meats, nuts and coffee. An added bonus as far as I'm concerned is, it also whips up cream, so you can have delicious, fresh whipped cream on desserts, in just a matter of a minute or two.

I work out at the gym almost every morning. When I get home I like to have a protein shake. I take the tall cup, pour in about 12 ounces of milk, a couple scoops of protein powder, drop an egg and a piece of fruit in, and pulse just a couple of seconds. I have a healthy shake, and it's really smooth. I believe the Magic Bullet makes a smoother shake than my blender did.

My wife's favorite morning treat is an iced Mocha Latte. She fills the tall cup up with ice, adds coffee, chocolate, sugar and a little milk; pulses it for a few seconds and she has her favorite iced coffee that she used to have to spend $4.50 for at the local coffee shop. Because of the calories, she doesn't usually have whipped cream, but when she does she just puts some cream in the short cup, attaches the flat blade; pulses a few times, and she has whipped cream for her latte.

One thing that I was concerned about when we first started using the Magic Bullet was, I was afraid the cups might retain odors such as garlic and onion, because we do process a lot of these in our different dishes. But we've used it now for over a year, and when the cups come out of the dishwasher, there is not a trace of odor.

The Magic Bullet has performed much better than I ever could have imagined. I really do not have any complaints with it other than I wish I had bought one sooner; and my wife and I race to see who gets to the Bullet first. Her for her coffee, or me for my shake.

I not only recommend the Magic Bullet to my friends; when I am at the gym and helping other guys out with their body building diet, I let them know how invaluable the Bullet is for fixing different protein shakes, and recommend that they try and get one.
