I was 17 years old when I had gotten pregnant the first time and from day 1, I was sick to my stomach to the point where I couldn't even drink a glass of water without it turning on me. I thought it was just that good old morning sickness that many women experience when they are pregnant, I would just have to make it through the first couple of months.
About 5 months into the pregnancy, I still had the nauseous feeling in my stomach, and it wasn't only in the morning, it was 24/7. I was taken to the hospital to be checked out, they informed me that if I didn't start putting weight on they were going to admit me because I weighed less at this point than I did before I got pregnant. I had started to slowly put a little weight on over the next few weeks, so I never ended up getting admitted, which I was happy about.
My due date was in November, I had gone in once with braxton hicks, and of course got told I was not in labour and sent home. A week later, on November 13th, I went into the hospital, in labour. I had an epidural, so I didn't feel anything, which was great. At 11.54 AM, my son was welcomed into this world.
My second pregnancy was 3 years later. It was totally different from the first. I never had morning sickness at all, as a matter of fact I was on a see food diet..any food I saw, I ate it.
Around 4 months, I had noticed that I had started to bleed, I have never been so upset in my life. I rushed to the hospital and they did tests and and ultra sound. When the results from the ultra sound came back, they had informed me that I had two sacs, but only one baby. Meaning I had been pregnant with twins, but I had lost one of them. They continued on to say that usually when this happens it doesn't take long before you lose the second one as well.
I went home heart broken, waiting for the day I was going to lose the second baby. Thankfully, that day never showed up. I carried the baby to term, and on November 19th my beautiful baby girl was born. I thank god everyday I was able to carry one of my babies to term.
I got pregnant with my third child at 27 years old and this pregnancy was different from the other two. I had no morning sickness at all, my eating habits didn't change, it was like my normal daily life except my stomach getting bigger. I carried the baby to term and on August 30th my second son was born.
I am very thankful that all 3 of my kids were born healthy, even with the obstacles they had to endure during the pregnancies.
They are my world and always will be. :)
