BAM! Your one and only soul mate was just hit by a drunk driver. Two hours later, they're pronounced dead. Besides the fact that you wish they were still alive, what would be the first thing you regret? I'll tell you what, you'll wish you said you loved them more.
Some people would say that, oh if you really want to let me know you love me then show it. Well tell me this, what's wrong with just saying i love you? Why can't you just look them straight in the eyes, any time of the day, and say i love you with all of my heart? There should never be a limit to how much you can say it. The minute you stop saying those words often, is when you begin to lose that spark of love that you've had for so long. You no longer feel like your life will end if you can't tell your partner that you love them. And a good relationship includes two people always longing for each other.
Okay, say they're saying it to you constantly, every hour. Usually the reason this happens is because that person is yearning for you. If you don't say i love you back and then ask what's wrong, maybe they'll doubt the relationship. As a loyal partner you have to be there for your lover, you can't just say I love you and be done with it. Give them a reason to say I love you every five minutes. Be happy and smile that they constantly say that.
Maybe you think saying I love you is too much of a commitment. That if you say these words, you're giving this person your heart and soul. This statement is completely true. If you say I love you back, then you must accept that you love this person. Don't say it in order to get laid that night, or because you want to cheer them up. Love is the link between two people; if you say I love you then you really must love them. Real love would make you want to say it ten, twenty, fifty times!
Now for those of you that just can't stand the word love, why are you in a relationship? If you want to show it more than say it, it only means that you are unable to connect with someone through emotions. Verbally tell them that you love them, trust me it will open an entirely new path for a couple.
Don't ever stop saying I love you. Don't be hesitant because that car crash can always be possible, and you could doubt not saying those words for the rest of your life. I'm sixteen, yes just a teenager, but my relationship is more perfect than many adults! I tell my girlfriend every anniversary "I love you" in a different language. Remember this lesson from the both of us, we say this all the time. Ever since I met you on that faithful day, I have not lost an ounce of love for you.
