Choosing the right hair style for you could bring into play any number of factors such as hair texture, color preference or age. One factor that can make a difference as to the choice of hair style is face size. For women who are overweight, it is inevitable that they will have a fuller face and this will no doubt impact on how they choose to style their hair. The last thing a woman in this situation would want is a style that accentuates her weight problem. Short hair, especially if it is fine in nature will tend to emphasize her full face and is therefore a style that many in that situation will avoid.
Short Hair
If an overweight woman prefers to have short hair, it would probably be best to make sure that though short, it is also a fairly full bodied style. This will lend toward making her face look a touch smaller as opposed to a hair style where the hair effectively looks too small for her head. Adding volume to hair would be helpful in this circumstance. The more volume you can muster in your hair, the better it will look.
Big Style
Many women who are overweight opt for a hair style that is big. A big hairstyle has the desired effect of making the face appear smaller and more slimming. The hair style from the 1980s were ideal in this situation, though it is not exactly considered to be the current style. Unfortunately, many girls and women are following the trend toward straight hair similar to that of Jennifer Aniston. This is why you will find many women now spending time with hair straighteners before they venture out of the house. This trend is not very complementary to women whose faces are more on the plump side. Hair that is straightened tends to make it more limp and clinging to the face which is really the opposite of what overweight women actually need.
Add Volume
Ideally, the overweight woman wants a hair style that has a slimming effect on her face and in most cases this will mean a style that has some volume to it. If the overweight woman has very fine or limp hair, another option is to wear a wig that is made in the style she requires. This would allow her to choose any color she prefers and that might add to the overall effect she desires. There is overweight and overweight so each individual will decide what is best depending on the degree of the weight problem. Generally, speaking, a big hairstyle is the ideal one for the overweight woman.
