Product reviews: Nutrition bars

In today's world we are all looking for that little something in a snack that will be healthier and give us energy at the same time. Our choices are many with the amount of nutritional energy bars that are all around us but don't be fooled. Some of these bars are excellent for your health and others could be filed between sawdust protein bars and sugar packed imposters. Always check the ingredients before chewing down on any bar. You can actually get a bar that will satisfy you in energy as well as being healthy and will taste good besides.

Gnu Foods Flavor and Fiber Cinnamon Raisin,

This bar is a real hit with those of us that enjoy that in-between snack or as a substitute for a meal if you're on the run. It is like an oatmeal cookie and who wouldn't like that during or after a workout. This bar has everything you need in a snack. It is very rich in fiber which we all know keeps that full feeling in your stomach so you won't feel hungry between your meals. This bar contains just 130 calories which is excellent for those that are trying to lose a few pounds. It has four grams of protein to give you the energy you need and twelve grams of fiber. The price of this bar is very reasonable at $2.00 for a 1.4 ounce bar.

Larabar Jocalat Chocolate,

If you are leaning towards a chocolate energy bar then you might find that Larabar Jocalat Chocolate may be just what you're looking for to get that extra bit of energy to see you through your workout or hiking trip or just as a supplement if you don't have time for a meal. This bar has a sophisticated taste and many people love it for its rich, creamy flavor. You will find that this bar has nuts that are rich in mono- and polyunsaturated fats which are very good for your heart and health. The bar is good calorie wise as it holds 190 and five grams of protein. This bar also has five grams of fiber which is very important to the body. You can purchase this bar, which weighs 1.7 ounces, for $2.00 which is not a bad buy when you're getting the necessary health value.

Powerbar Nut Naturals Fruit and Nuts,

If you are partial to crunchy bars then this one may be the one for you. It has just the right amount of almonds, peanut butter and strawberries. This bar offers you twenty grams of carbohydrates and proteins that will help build muscle. The bar is a little high in calories coming in at 210. It has 10 grams of protein and three grams of fiber. Your choice in bars will depend on your needs at the time such as what type of exercise or weight loss program you're on. The cost of this bar is reasonably priced at $1.50 for 1.58 ounces of bar.

Larabar Cherry Pie,

The name sounds good to anyone that is looking for a quick snack but does this bar stand up to its name and still be nutritious? This bar is designed for those of us that look for a little something different and it comes in the form of being a little mouth puckering but not in a bad way. It is more in the form of a wake up puckering. This bar offers the equivalent of a serving of fruit. It contains 190 calories and four grams of protein. This bar also has four grams of fiber and is priced at $1.70 for a 1.7 ounce of bar.

There are many nutrition bars on the market and not all of them are good for you while some are designed to give you the nutrition and calories that you're looking for. The rule of thumb when choosing a bar is read the label of ingredients to make sure the bar suits your paticular needs.
