Poetry: Nonsense

Tonight I'll wake
to see the sun
And say "good morning"
to everyone.

I'll comb my teeth
and floss my hair
Put on my ski suit
the weather looks fair.

Drain out the water
in my goldfishes bowl
Turn off the heater
that never stays cold.

Make sure the doors
are opened and locked
Set the right time
on my old broken clock.

Head to my tree
to pick off some cash
Make sure to be frugal
and spend it on trash.

Get to my job
where it seems I've been fired
Until they remind me
I'd never been hired.

A day off from work
how unlucky could I be?
But at least I can say
I'll have no time for me.

Spend all my cash
on bags of free candy
Not one of them is wrapped -
now that's what I call handy!

Get back to my house
to find everything gone
If I'd had an alarm
I should have turned it on.

Sit on the floor
cuz gone are the seats
So glad to have more space
where I can rest me little feets.

I turn on the lights
and crawl out of bed
Have to work in the morning
it's good to think ahead.
