George Foreman Grills are the best invention. Anyone who loves to cook needs to have one.

First, there are sizes from small to large. There are indoor/outdoor grills. These are great when cooking a variety of foods at one time. You can prepare an entire meal on one of these. All of the following plus more information can be found on the following website: http://www.georgeforemancooking.com . All grills have embedded heat elements for consistent heat & rapid recovery time, 2 drip trays, and 2 spatulas. All come with the option to have the cooking surface sloped to let the fat roll off the food.

In addition to these grills, George Foreman offers a deep fryer and a roasting machine.

It has been my experience with my grill that the fat you consume really does decrease using this grill. I prefer my thinner cuts of meat to be prepared on my grill. The only drawbacks are that my grill is too small for my family, the plates are fixed which is a pain to clean, and I use many paper towels cleaning the grill between fixing each person's meat. In addition, my meat is usually cold by the time I fix everyone else's. I also have scratched my grill so I worry about the coating coming off onto my food. The advantages are that the meat is done rapidly, the fat rolls out of the meat and into the drip tray, and the meat is juicy and tender. All of the advantages outweigh the drawbacks. Just make sure you have the right size for your family. It will help if you go to the website mentioned above and let it match a product for your family and what you desire to use it for when cooking. There are also wonderful recipes on the website too. Here are two that I cannot wait to try.

Entertaining Beef Tenderloin

1/2 cup fresh flat leaf parsley leaves
2 large cloves garlic, coarsely chopped
1 tbsp. fresh thyme leaves
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. coarse ground black pepper
4 boneless beef tenderloin steaks, fat removed
(about 6 oz., ea.)
1/2 cup plain yogurt

In small bowl, combine the parsley, garlic, thyme, salt and pepper. Rub mixture over steaks. Place grilling plates on the George Foreman Grill and preheat for about 8 minutes on High (Green light will notify you that grill is ready.) Place steaks on the grill and cook for about 3 minutes on High for medium-rare. Remove the steaks and let stand for several minutes. Meanwhile blend remaining herb mixture into yogurt and drizzle over steaks just before serving. Serves 4

Mediterranean Beef & Vegetable Grill

You will need:

455g hindquarter flank steak, 1 small courgette, cut into 1 inch cubes, 1 small tomato, cut into 8 pieces, onion, cut into inch pieces, 1 green pepper, cut into inch pieces, 1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar, 1 tsp black pepper coarsely ground, 1 tsp garlic granules, 8 x 10 inch wooden skewers.

To make:

Partially freeze the steak for about 30 minutes. Remove any visible fat and cut the beef into very thin slices across the grain of the meat. Thread the steak through 4 of the skewers in an accordion fashion. Set aside. Thread the vegetables through the remaining 4 skewers, alternating vegetables on each. In a small bowl, mix together the vinegar, pepper and garlic granules. Place the beef skewers on a pre heated grill horizontally & grill for 4 minutes. Add the vegetable skewers and sprinkle all the skewers with the vinegar, pepper & garlic granules mixture. Grill for an additional 34 minutes.
