-Mes Pensees-
Windy skies pace the earth tonight The grass flows like water in a stream The silence, though all too familiar, is strong and continuous, As a young maiden picks a spot to rest
Among her flurry of thoughts and queries, she is able to find peace Becoming one with nature, allowing herself to float free Before long she is lost within herself, questioning her own existence
Inquisitive minds or thick skulls, does anyone truly know There used to be just her, but now she is no more Free floating molecules among mountains, trees, and fields She awaits her final resting spot, a place truer than myth
To know is to see with one's own eyes, There is nothing beyond her reach Monetary gain and sentimental value fuse into one, Personal tranquility of soul and mind
Lost in a sea of ever-changing emotion, Caught in the undertow of life's daily chores We are struck blind to the truth of humanity, of life
As she mulled this complex, indisputable truth, She drug her fingers through the waters The stream was cold to the touch but warm with memories, As the key to all these complex questions unlocked deep in her mind ...Free from her consciousness

You cannot be the lazy sloth
