The Long Road

Don't try to stop me now, I'm not looking back on this...
I'm drawing away, to try and find true bliss...
Something I could never find deep within.
In this game of life, I could never win.

So I'll get up and walk away.
I'll do anything, just to find a better day...
You've never seen this place through my eyes.
Trust me, I won't cry when I whisper my goodbyes.

Will you miss me when I finally disappear?
Will tears fall when you see I am nowhere near?
I left you all behind for a reason you'll never see.
I was different from all of you and you never accepted me.

After you grieve, I know you'll forget I was ever there...
You're probably happy, now that I'm out of your hair.
I dare you to watch me as I carry on,
Because I'll be far gone by dawn.

I reached a foggy cliff, the nightmare far in the past;
I never thought that journey could go by so fast.
But below me now, lay the land of bliss I've travelled so far to see...
As I jumped in, I knew this is where I wanted to be...
