Poetry: Sunsets

They merge together, the darkness and the light,
In a dance of colors, resulting in a cascade of sight.
With all the colors of warmth, left to comfort my heart,
Engaged with the colors of cold, set about their part.

The sun is to be swallowed, by the hills of the west,
And the lands will be pardoned, be allowed to rest.
But until this sight fades, and the painting goes still,
I will enjoy this masterpiece, created by nature's will.
