In a world that is fast-paced and electronic hungry this topic for many is confusing. To some it's ridiculous. However, I've discovered that it's the only way to find true peace, true joy.
Many topics could be discussed on the basic life. However, there is one that is truly on my heart at the moment. It's virtuous women. I began studying the topic along with Amish books and there ways. I want to mention that I am not Amish nor was I ever. I'm using Amish ladies as an example.
Why is it that marriages are being destroyed more today than ever before? Why is it children are out of control? Why do people flop from church to church and think it's okay? The reason is simple, they're lacking something.
Let's take a brief look at my grandmother's marriage which was her first and lasted approximately 55 years before he died. A true fairytale. Today HollyWood changes partners like I do socks. They all have gotten away from what really matters. You have to put the Lord first in all things. People are lacking faith, trust, and confidence in the Lord.
Listen folks, He's the same yesterday, today, and tommorrow. Women are working outside the home just to earn extra spending money all the while her children are being looked after by strangers, and their lives are being flushed down the drain. A mother is to raise her childen the way she thinks they ought to go. But how can she when she's never home?
I've never heard of the Amish getting a divorce and if for some strange reason they have, it was a rare thing. How come they're still holding onto their husbands? Well let's see, there up before dawn making breakfast for their families. They attend the church services as well as living a Holy life. They pray for their children daily. They run small stores from their homes. Sound familiar? Virtuous ladies that they are.
Now many will comment on this article such as,"Well the Bible doesn't tell us we can't work outside our home?" Your right, but it sure does hint around to it. Also look at the difference. Outside working moms are money hungry, exhausted, on the verge of a divorce, and living without peace or joy. Well not me. I'm a stay at home mom with three children. The Lord has shown me this is my calling. To raise my children and to write.
It's easy to take things to extreme if your not careful. I don't think it's wrong to have money. I do look at how you act with it. Are you careless buying up expensive cars and trucks? Or do you have enough saved for your children's children? You see the point i'm making. Sometimes it is better to live more basically just to tend to your household the way you should. My husband loves to come home to a hot cooked meal awaiting him. Don't tell me you can't pay your bills on one paycheck because were I'm in my twenties and our new brick home is completely paid for. We have one credit card we use for emergencies only. So really to want more and more is really giving you less. Live basic. It's the newest. oldest thing.
