First time ski with kids can be fun.
Kids love snow, they see it differently than we do and for them it is a novelty and they see it as a game. I have four sons and they love snow today and I learned to understand what is needed.
The first thing to do is to choose the right place where to travel, it also depends if you the parents intend to ski or just to watch. There are different stations equipped from beginners to experts and some of these stations have subdivisions so choose correctly where you want to go and what this station has to offer.
The first thing I suggest is looking up all the possibilities through the Internet. Choose a place that you will love or maybe even know. Look for kid's school and kids slope or clubs like Club Med where they have it all and you can relax as well.
You can either check and take a private teacher for the first few lessons or be part of a group. You want your kids to love it and enjoy, this will make your holiday more enjoyable as well. Even if you are experts choose for one year a place that kids can start and succeed.
Take care to dress your kids with warm clothes and gloves that are water tight. The warmer they will be the more relax they will be. Renting the right equipment is just as important for their safety and enjoyment.
I started skiing at the age of five and there is no problem to start earlier even. Two of my kids ski and two do snowboard. Once you put a small kid on the right ski or snowboard, on the right slope with the right teachers they will succeed, Remember sport needs precautions to be accident free.
You could choose for the first and maybe even the second lesson, a private teacher which will give the best results. They will love it from the moment they understand what they need to do. If you are an expert you can hold them between your legs and give them a thrill of a descent.
Kids' love the cold air and playing with snow. Choose a place where the sun shines a lot; it will be much more pleasant. Always take care to keep them warm with the right clothes. Let them play in the snow, even crawl inside even play with them. Once they will be too cold they will tell you and you go back home. You can sledge with them or take them to ice skating as well
Let your kids enjoy so that you will enjoy your holiday as well.
