When we choose an internet service provider, we assume, and rightfully so, that we can use whatever homepage that we want to. We pay the ISP for internet access and expect a certain amount of privacy. I'm not sure about laws governing ISP's, but it is my opinion that NO ISP has a right to put code in your dialer that will take over your browser and route you to a home page that they want you to use instead of the home page that you have chosen.

Phreego and Phreego Express has put code in their dialer and their express module that takes over your browser and routes you to THEIR homepage. To keep them from tracking me, I immediately close my browser while their homepage is loading and open a new browser to MY homepage. I also erase their cookies dailey. Yes it is a pain in the butt, however, I refuse to let them govern me.

For all of you out there that are looking for a new ISP, I rate Phreego as the worst ISP I have ever used. How dare them. What kind of people run such an ISP? I would guess it is run by people that have THEIR OWN best interest in mind with absolutely NO regards to the users that keep them in business. When laws fail to protect our rights, the peoples actions must prevail. When they loose all their present customers and word gets out about how they do business, they will be forced to play fair, or go out of business.
