A Shadow of a Soul

It watches you from day to day, hearing all that you might say

The Inky darkness behind the light, creeping crawling out of sight

Half of you lost to fear, never held but forever near.

A Shadow of the Soul

Part of you just like the Light, though ignorance lends it fright

Darkness shines as bright as Day, in its own forgotten way

Shadows from within bring peace, without them Life would cease.

This Shadow of my Soul

Be one with my Light, may your Darkness grant me Sight

In balance only can you be seen, only then will I be clean

Of Light and Dark we are born, with only One we are torn.

The Shadow that is your Soul

Let it in with your Light, so it too can grant you Sight

Accept that which is One, for life has only just begun

The Shadow holds the Light, these forces can not fight.

Shadow is to Light

As Death is to Life

Forgotten and Misunderstood

Yet perpetually One

Let not Ignorance guide your Way

Follow your Soul though every day
