The most powerful superheroes to grace the covers of our comic strips and television screens have to be in my opinion Batman, Spider man, Superman and the Fantastic Four.
Batman and Spider-man are by far still the most powerful superheros to this day. Movies are still being made about them, and kids today are still crazy about wearing spider-man clothing and buying the toys. There have been at least three spider man movies within the last five to ten years, and each one was thoroughly enjoyed by people of all ages.. It goes to show that these superheroes can survive the test of time, and will continue to enjoy lots of publicity. They are timeless and ageless. The characters are always modified to suit the generation that they can target. Spider-man may not have the same powers or outfit that he has today, in say a hundred years from now. Batman may not be driving the same car he drove twenty years ago that he drives today.
Some of the superheroes that have drifted away from us are Teenage Mutant NinjaTturtles, He- man and many more of the eighties superheroes. These heroes can be brought back and the audience of 2009 can be catered for by modifying characters, and changing the story lines a bit. Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles also had a fan club about twenty years ago. Most of the fans were kids or teenagers then, but are now in their twenties and thirties.
Superman is one cartoon, comic strip and movie character that will stand the test of time. He has been played by many actors, Christopher Reeve being one of them, and also has or had his own Television series; Small ville where the characters have been modified to suit the generation watching the show. Clarke is a teenager in this show, has a girlfriend, best friend, and his parents are incredibly young. There was also Louis and Clarke which is not shown now, but was the more traditional Superman roles. The City was always in danger and superman always saves the day. Louis at a later stage in one of the series realizes that Clark is Superman, and a relationship begins with both of them.
Another superhero to grace our screens is Hellman. I am not too keen on this superhero, and have not even watched the movie. I do think though that even the fact that he is not very pleasant to the eye, he may still be around for time to come.
