The best way we can change the way we look is by watching what we eat on a daily basis. Of ten times we go for what we want or desire at the current moment regardless of the consequences that food may have on our body. Having no control over your logical side of the mind, and having your emotions get to you, especially on an empty stomach is an extremely negative trait.
The first thing that what one must do is to control what you eat, to control your diet. There are only few things in this world that we have an actual control over, often times we don't exercise them all. The one being to watch what we eat. We are at liberty to eat what we want and desire, yet we often times lose control of what to eat when we are interacting with people outside of our comfort zone. The truth is, we do not have to eat anything or everything that may have come in front of you. You can simply say No' and it will not be a big deal.
The second part of diet is to eat frequently, but eating slowly. Basically it works something along the lines of this. Our brain and our stomach signals are quite delayed with one another. When our stomach is hungry, we find out 20 minutes after it was originally hungry. When we start eating and feeding our stomach, we find out 20 minutes later that we're "full". Eating slowly while keeping away from distractions is an important way of eating less while being full. Many people do not understand this and fail at this point. On contrary, many people go ahead and skip meals, but the fact is that our metabolism in return is slowed down in order to conserve our energy. When our metabolism is not doing what it needs to, then the fat in our body is stored within our body instead of taking care of. It is extremely important to never skip a meal, and to eat all major meals of the day, as well as healthy snacks throughout the day.
Eating more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains is an important part in controlling our diet as well as losing weight. The best way to do is to carry around some type of fruit with you, whether in your car, or at the office, it should be readily available to you when you feel like having a snack. Having fruits for snack is a great way not starving your stomach, while maintaining the flow of energy in your body. Cutting down on our sugar intake is an extremely way of losing weight. Sugar within coffee and carbonated drinks quickly adds up and has no actual positive impact on our bodies. Eating more fiber makes us feel like we're full while not starving ourselves. Unlike fiber, other substances are foods which we keep eating and do not feel full until a later time. The key is to maintain variety and not having too much of any one thing.
