Why are you working so hard for so little? How to make effective changes and better your life

It may appear that some people work harder than others without any improvement to their home situation or their enjoyment of life. It never seems fair, and those caught in this situation can often not see that there is something which can be done to better their lives by looking honestly for answers and finding solutions which work. This article is written from the perspective of someone who has been there, and who has moved on to appreciating life more simply by addressing those areas which were neglected in order to improve and grow. It also questions why we work so hard for so little return, and explains that return can't always be measured in financial gain.

*Self esteem.

*Fear of change.

*Fear of management.

*Caught up in a vicious circle.

*No time for socializing.

*The empty shell syndrome.

*Moving on and finding solutions.

Self esteem.

One thing that hits people who are exploited is this awful sense of not being appreciated. If you walk through life with no appreciation by others, you begin to doubt your own worth and accept less than is really acceptable. Why do I work so many hours? Your answer may be that the management require this of you. That's a cop out answer, when the answer actually lies within you. The management requires so many hours at such little pay because you allow it to.

The unfortunate situation arises that there are others just like you who will take your place tomorrow if you complain. That's life, and a fact of life. What you do need to do is assess your worth, and look into other job possibilities which allow you more time for you. You may have to take less pay, though accept a job where you are doing something you enjoy more. The fact is that money isn't everything, and richness of life isn't gained simply by financial reward. Stepping off the current ladder which appears to be going nowhere anyway may open up paths to your life which you never considered before. That seemingly humble job with prospects may offer you more reward long term than a dead end job that pays more money.

By looking inside yourself and deciding you have more worth than the world appears to think you have, it is up to you to show the world you are right, and that your worth is not being appreciated. By learning to value yourself, you see the world in a much clearer light and are able to make changes which perhaps you would never do, given that you accept low self esteem.

Fear of change.

Human beings are creatures of habit. As children, we are more adaptable, though
