I have composed a list of online resources that are great for children to visit. These sites promote learning and early development, as well as help a child learn how to use a computer. They also allow your children to have fun and some contain fun learning games for them to enjoy as well.
http://www.kidsolr.com/
The above site contains experiments for a child's learning in science, it helps them learn math, and a few other things they need to know in school and in life.

The above web page is where you can find search forms for the major Internet search engines for children. It includes things ASK For Kids, Yahoo!Kids, and KidsClick!
http://resources.kaboose.com/games/
This above address is a site for very fun games that kids and moms can play. The games are good for down loadable play or free online play. This site has hundreds of awesome games good for learning or just plain fun.
http://www.sundhagen.com/babbooks/
The site above contains online stories and resources for children. There are many great stories on here for them to read and this site also teaches them how to make ad libs. Ad libs of course teach kids about adjectives, nouns, verbs, plural nouns, etc. This site is really great for learning vocabulary skills.
http://dictionary.reference.com/
Dictionary is of course a dictionary, but it also has a word of the day which is good for learning new words. This site is great because every now and then even I, an adult that spent her whole life reading and writing, will come across a word in a book that I don't know. So this site is great for children of all ages to type in a word that they do not know and get a correct definition for. It is much easier to look up a definition online rather than flip through a large dictionary to find it.
http://puzzlemaker.discoveryeducation.com/
This website contains products that you and your child can pick out to purchase online for learning purposes. This page has lesson plans and learning videos that actual teachers buy and use for their classrooms. If you want to get a head start on your child's learning, and don't mind spending a little money, this is the website for you.

This final website I included in my list is a site where you and your child can go to build and solve puzzles together. They have Sudoku, word searches, logic puzzles, a vocabulary board game, and many other puzzles that teach daily critical thinking skills.
I hope my list has helped you and your child have fun learning together.
