We feel guilty when we take the time and effort to give ourselves the well-earned and well-deserved pampering that our souls cry out for.
You're going out on the town! This day is for you! Use it to prepare yourself for tonight; and look and feel like a queen!
First, your facial. Pull all your hair back in a wrap or a towel to keep it from getting in the way. Then, using either your favorite masque and pore tightener or a homemade one (such as with whipped egg whites and fresh lemon juice) wait for your facial to do it's magic.(Avoid delicate eye area.) Remove with tepid water, being careful not to pull or stretch your delicate facial skin; especially in the eye area. Be sure to include the neck area; it is a part of your face and is often overlooked.
Now, remove your nail polish from your fingers and toes so that your bath will soften and prepare your cuticles for your manicure and pedicure.
Next, your bath. After your hair is washed and conditioned, wrap it in a wrap that will deep-condition your hair and scalp. (Even saran wrap will do.) Your bath water, to which you have added your favorite bath salts, is where you will melt away the cares of the day-and the week before. You've lit your delicious candles for aromatherapy, and a glass of your favorite wine is nearby.Your favorite music plays softly. Luxuriate-and enjoy your spa experience.
After you have soaked in your special bath; it is time to let your hair air-dry while you give yourself a manicure and pedicure on your newly-softened nails. Your cuticles will be easy to tame now. Moisturize from head to toe with your favorite moisturizer, which will absorb while you wear your favorite robe.
Carefully choose your nail color to best accent your amazing outfit that you have chosen to wear tonight. Just take the hanger to your selection of colors, hold it there, and it will be easy to decide which color is perfect! Let your mood guide you. Peek-a-boo shoes? Then do an extra special pedicure! Use those nail rhinestones on both your fingers and your toes! SPARKLE!
Use either a hair dryer set on low, or a nail dryer to speed the drying of your manicure and pedicure.
Style-hot curl your hair. Make it perfect to suit your mood tonight.
Now, put on the face you want them all to see. Take your time. Don't be afraid to show them who you are!
Now the reward!
You've already laid out your outfit, accessories and shoes. Slip out of your robe. Anoint yourself first with your favorite fragrance on all the pulse-points.
Carefully and lovingly adorn yourself with your chosen ensemble for this evening; savoring every addition. Take your time. You are creating a goddess!
A last spritz of perfume completes your work of art. Tell yourself how beautiful you are!
You are ready. The doorbell rings. He sees a goddess standing before him; it's your moment!
If you should make it out the door; pray that the room you will enter tonight is equipped to entertain Royalty.
You are the Queen.
