An interesting conundrom is death because it is unavoidable, yet some manage to live beyond their time. The oldest man was 130. When I was a child, I despised death, because it took the life of my grandfather. I cried that day he passed away.
I sat down to think about death. I wondered if people were lonely there not being able to see their family that they left. Still some people manage to come back, don't they? They are called ghosts. They wander in one place, taking care of family and possessions. Sometimes they frighten people because they are human, yet they are not. They are something else.
What is death then? People are able to escape it yet, they remain restless for eternity. I do not want that. I realize that if I die, my friends and family will be with me during death. That soothes me deeply. I will be able to see my father and my mother and especially my grandfather who I now miss once in a while.
It would be terrible to live for a long time. It is scary. Who would take care of you when you can barely even remember a family member. It is scary.
The way to enter death is also something to consider, I believe dying in your sleep is something very peaceful. I it is not painful. It is just all of a sudden your heart stops beating and you continue sleeping. It is hopeful and peaceful. Much better than a gun shot wound.
Then again, no one would ever want that. I love life, and must also say that I love death in a different way. It is like a deep slumber. Silently you depart from this world, into bliss. Doesn't matter what you believe in either religion. If you follow the path that you believe in, then you will enter bliss. Death is peaceful. Death is silent. It is something much more than life, if you look at it in another direction. I don't believe it is simply a body in the ground. It is something entirely different, and one must admire it's qualities as well.
I like death, and I know that many people are afraid of it. I know that when death comes, it will hopefully be the right moment. I will depart from this world when I am supposed to. This meant. You can realize when you are meant to die. You can feel that it is time to visit your grandfather or your long lost friend. Eventually I will meet my grandfather, and one will meet the love of their lives. It is all set in stone, and we cannot avoid it. Just realize that when the time comes, God or whoever makes the decision.
