Disney's All-Star Movies Resort

There is nothing better on a Walt Disney World vacation then staying on the Disney Property. While staying on Disney property can be very expensive, there are some options for the traveler who can not afford a $300 per night room. With rooms from $82 to $160 per night depending on time of year, Disney's All-Star Movies is one of the options.

Disney's All-Star Movies opened on January 15, 1999 with 1,920 rooms divided into five theme sections. The themes are the Mighty Ducks, 101 Dalmatians, Toy Story, Herbie: The Love Bug and Fantasia. Each of the five sections are decorated to match the sections theme. The Mighty Ducks section is decorated with 3 story tall hockey sticks, hockey nets and duck shaped hockey mask. The Toy Story section has a three story tall Buzz Lightyear, a three story tall Woody, and three story tall buckets of army men. The Fantasia section is decorated with a characters from Fantasia 2000 on one side of the pool, and the brooms from the Sorcerer's Apprentice sequence of both Fantasia films on the other side of the pool. The Herbie: The Love Bug section of the resort is decorated with three story tall Love Bugs, and racing flags. Finally, the 101 Dalmatians section has a three story tall Pongo, a three story tall Perdita, and 99 Dalmatian puppies.

Disney's All-Star Movies has two pools and a play ground. The pools are themed after the section of the resort that they are located in. The Mighty Ducks pool is shaped like a hockey rink, complete with a Goofy as a goalie in the hockey net at one end of the pool. The Fantasia Pool is the resort's main pool, and features Sorcerer Mickey directing jets of water in the center of the pool. The playground is located between the Toy Story and Fantasia sections of the resort. There is also a coin operated laundry mat located near both of the pools. Located next to the Fantasia Pool is Silver Screen Spirits, which is th resorts bar.

Cinema Hall is the main entrance for the resort. In front of Cinema Hall are the Disney Transportation Bus stops that take resort guest to the Walt Disney World Parks and Downtown Disney. Disney Transportation is free to all resort guest. Traveling times to the parks range from 10 to 30 minutes depending on which park you are traveling to. Cinema Hall is also where you will find the Check-in Lobby, Concierge services, Disney's Magical Express, Reel Fun (a game arcade), Donald's Double
