Poetry: The way I see you

by Gwendolyn Golden

Created on: January 10, 2009

My protector, to whom I cleave

How valiant is your love for me

Lift the banner high, proclaiming your love

Let me quench my thirst with your laughter

Your heart penetrates, and leaves me suspended

Alluring dreams, that draw me close

Overwhelmed with secret kisses

Blossoming gardens, you remind me of

Carry me deep into passionate elation

Unravel my mind with tender memories

Be my guardian, my warrior, my life

As love bubbles within my bloodstream

Shall this fervency, collapse in bondage?

Shall the armies stand powerless without you?

Beguile me not, oh distant thunder

My heart writes another chapter of you
